ISOLATING DOGMA

Create a set of practices and beliefs that can isolate the member from friends and family. Create an aura of secrecy or specialness about the members’ relationship to the cult. Whether you move up in the party echelon, take on special, official duties or get a higher degree- all can serve the same purposes.

In many ways, AMORC creates at the very beginning certain dogmas that creates a sense of uniqueness about AMORC. For one thing, in Mandamus No. 2, the monograph sets out the history of the order, focusing on how, in 1909, Dr. H. Spencer Lewis-

-made a visit to France for the purpose of receiving instruction about the Rosicrucian Order….After many tests and trials, Dr.Lewis was permitted to meet one of the officials of the French Rosicrucian Order.

The monograph goes on to tell how Lewis is initiated in Toulouse, France and instructed-

-to begin the preliminary foundation for reactivating the true Rosicrucian Order in America. After further qualifications and preparations,the first official public Manifesto was issued in the United States, announcing the birth of a new cycle of the Order.

Everything in the beginning of the monograph sequence sets up a picture of Lewis being involved in a Secret Order that manifests publicly only in cycles. Over a period of time, this picture, live every other picture in the monographs will deepen considerably until each member realizes he is part of an organization that is truly exclusive, important and really the only real platform for esoteric development in the world.

Members eventually feel exceptionally lucky and special to be one of the chosen few. As their “powers” develop, they begin to realize the profound part they play in the political and historical life of the world, as their special ‘powers” grant them the ability to manipulate the actions and inner choices of other human beings,including political figures.

As Mandamus No. 2 says about the current imperator, Christian Bernard,

Christian Bernard, AMORC Grand Master of France, was elected to the office of Imperator in 1990. Thus, it is he who assumes today the highest responsibility in the visible hierarchy of the authentic Rosicrucian tradition.

Yes, the “visible hierarchy” is only the tip of the power invested in the Order.
