THE CANDLE AGAIN!

In a way, I think that little candle was my real first initiation into Mind Control. In a way, concentrating on the candle- and then trying to change its color- is a way of testing for the depth of hypnosis. If the neophyte succeeds, then he is going to be a perfect tool of the Rosicrucian Order. If he doesn’t, he may go away. Or- like me- a failure at most of the occult experiments- he may try harder, doing exercises- whether breathing, chanting, healing, psychic energizing or visualization- over and over again.

All the forms of concentration and focus- can under the right circumstances, act in a way as covert hypnosis. Covert hypnosis, sometimes called conversational hypnosis, can work without the subject know it. For instance, in a certain setting, the words that induce an action are not stated in a crude hypnotic way.

This is nothing new. Covert hypnosis was popularized years ago by Milton H. Erickson, M.D.- and is used in psychotherapy. It evolved into NLP- or Neurolinguistic Programming and is used to affect consumer-based activity without the consumer realizing it.

In my next blog, we will examine a wide use of this technique throughout the monographs.
