THE HAPPY POSTULANT

As I return to my roots as a happy postulant, reviewing the first Monograph, Mandamus 1 in the Postulant Section, I begin to understand the springboards of my self-destruction.

If one carefully reads The Prisoner of San Jose, it is easy to see that, given the poverty of my family- and the fact that my father was jettisoned out of his economic birthright by a jealous relative, my success in earning a real income and be able to distribute it to my family, becoming a top engineering student and beginning to move myself in government and even somewhat political circles in Haiti, is remarkable in itself.

If I were to write a success book, I think I would have to completely discount my AMORC experience and focus on the reasons that worked for me in those early years.

In my opinion, it was a matter of setting practical goals, hard work and a simple, but perhaps somewhat naïve, faith in God. Certainly for each stepping stone I achieved, I and my family attributed this to God.

If I owe anything to AMORC, it is probably the realization, through reading and practice, that there are other dimensions to faith than those I was exposed to growing up as a Catholic child in Haiti. AMORC introduced me to areas of philosophy and religion, but in a somewhat backwards way. Backwards meaning distorted, egoistic and fantasy-driven.

Anyone who studies AMORC’s so-called Rosicrucian teaching for the first time, without any kind of philosophical, theological or occult background- is more or less at their mercy- because, sooner or later, they will realize that any extensive reading or research outside of the monographs and suggested readings by AMORC is subliminally forbidden. By subliminally, I mean that, whereas at the surface, AMORC seems all about individuality and the spiritual search- the real directive, issued subtly over time is that they are really the only real, active occult fraternity on Earth and your absolute well-being can only be achieved by following their teachings.
